Surrounded by greenery, Lake Levico is reminiscent of a Norwegian fjord due to its conformation, but with typically Italian water temperatures. There are two bathing establishments, as well as a large free beach, for those who love to experience the lake in all its spontaneity. And in fact, for greater protection of the biological balance on Lake Levico, from 1 May to 30 September, the navigation of boats with internal combustion engines is strictly prohibited. On the southern end of the lake is the “Canneto di Levico” biotope, and the “Canneto di San Cristoforo” biotope is also of particular environmental interest.<\/p>\n

The nearby Lake Caldonazzo is the largest lake belonging entirely to Trentino: it measures 4,735 m. long, 1,870 m. wide and has an average depth of 27 m. On the lake you will find numerous free beaches suitable for children, equipped bathing establishments and four nautical clubs that organize regattas and competitions at national and international level. In this lake it is allowed to navigate with boats equipped with engines and with a power not exceeding 4 Hp.<\/p>\n

Other lakes, minor but certainly no less enchanting, are the small lake of the Prese (municipality of Roncegno, 1,620 m), the lake of Canzolino (municipality of Pergine Vals., 520 m) and the lake of Madrano (municipality of Pergine Vals ., mt. 547). Furthermore, on the Lagorai chain there are more than 70 alpine lakes of incomparable beauty and charm.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

Separated from the Tenna hill, Levico Lake and Caldonazzo Lake are surrounded by the Trentino mountains, immersed in a mountain environment.
\nYet the temperatures are surprisingly mild: think that the average water temperatures of the two lakes are 20 \u00b0 in June, 22.9 \u00b0 in July, 23.4 \u00b0 in August and 21.8 \u00b0 in September. In short, perfect for a refreshing dip!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

A walk along the banks, or a trip on the water? You have many ways to discover the lakes of Levico and Caldonazzo!<\/p>\n

If you prefer to stay with your feet on the ground, you can walk along the banks also passing on special wooden walkways, which cross the reeds. Or if you want to go straight to the heart of the lakes, you can rent pedal boats and rowing boats. There are also enchanting free beaches, quiet piers and bathing establishments. During the summer, the Safe Beaches service is established which provides for the presence of qualified lifeguards on the main beaches. The lakes are also of great environmental interest for lovers of flora and fauna. To those who can observe, they reveal innumerable forms of hidden life.<\/p>\n

In winter they offer shelter and refreshment for many water birds, which winter or stop here: gulls from northern Europe, gavine, herring gulls, fishmongers, blue tit, robins, kingfisher. And yet you can find miles, siskin, moorhens, mallards, coots, grebes, tufted duck and pochards.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>
